Coming back from the Monaco Yacht Show and most likely a little bit inspired by the obligatory consumption of the above mentioned bubbly over the course of the prestigious (and infamous?) event we came up with the idea of a free standing champagne cooler, made in glass and steel. We wanted to show the ‘mechanics’ of champagne in a kind of scientific way, almost like a new interpretation of some old illustrations from the Victorian times. In a way you might say this is steampunk like you’ve never seen it before!

You will find the 3 leg stand shaped like a champagne flute, with the ice bucket come bowl in the centre, surrounded by a turning table top to put down your class and there’s even a little ‘satellite’ for nuts. Underneath the ice bowl is a kind of installation that works as a weight plus it includes a light fitting. The rest is just crystal poetry meets fine clockwork precision steel and a hint of cutting edge composite work. And possibly a bit of madness. We blame the bubbly…
