And while we do like characterful edges, we also like smooth playful lines and surfaces softly flowing into each other. Shapes, seemingly formed by a gentle breeze rather than by thunder and lightning touch our inner calm yet can still be as dramatic!
You might say here’s an experiment that clearly went wrong. We said, let’s do a nice superyacht. Give or take one hundred meters, for good measure. Let’s go contemporary, with a reverse bow and a good amount of glass. But let’s not go too wild. You know, we love bold colours, patterns, some sharp edges and the unexpected twist. But not this time. We wanted to create smooth shapes, almost like formed by the sands the wind is blowing across the desert.
Well, I think the result is indeed smooth and, if we may say so, quite elegant. But she didn’t turn out as understated as intended…
